Social Media Marketing

Rugged Radios in Arroyo Grande is seeking a creative, bright, articulate, and collaborative person to join our marketing team full time in Social Media Marketing.

We are looking for a driven Social Media Specialist to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities and network users. The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap.

Social media specialists should have a solid understanding of how each social media channel works and how to optimize content so that it is engaging on those channels. You are responsible for joining relevant conversations on behalf of the brand and “soft selling” the product by providing support to current and prospective customers.

This individual will help produce a wide variety of projects across multiple areas of focus such as Social Media, Graphic Design, Photography, Videography, Email Marketing, and other Ecommerce platforms.

The ideal candidate will be diligent, and able to multitask quickly and efficiently.

This is not a remote position. To be successful and collaborative, the applicant must be willing to work on-site in our Arroyo Grande, California headquarters marketing department.

Rugged Radios is the top brand for 2-way communications in the off-road racing industry. In addition to supporting various off-road race series, we attend many of the largest off-road trade shows in the United States

Job Responsibilities

  • Generate original and creative content for Facebook and Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, and various other platforms
  • Communicate with followers, responding to queries and comments
  • Produce product & lifestyle photography and video and copywriting for social posts and blogs
  • Write, edit, publish, and share engaging content (e.g., original text, photos, videos, and news) geared toward off-road communications
  • Collaborate to ensure social media campaigns and postings are executed to the highest standards
  • Blog content feature and technical writing


Qualifications

  • Experience with the off-road recreational vehicle industry and or any industry specific arena from which we operate
  • Degree in Marketing or relevant field or in process of completing a degree or diploma-which may be substituted for “Real world” social media experience
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills across Company work groups and departments
  • Fundamental experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace
  • Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere
  • Available for occasional travel to various off road races and trade shows
  • Knowledge of SEO, Google Ad Words highly desired

 

Pay Scale

  • Range $19.00-$25.00 hourly

Social Media Sales Associate

Do you have a passion for Power Sports?

We are looking for a full-time Social Media Sales Associate to join our in-house sales team. You will be on the front lines as an ambassador of the company for retail sales customers on the phone, in person and especially through social media sales channels like Instagram, Face Book, TikTok, and YouTube.

Our customers consist primarily of people using two-way radio communication products for off-road recreational vehicles (UTV, ATV, Jeep, Toyota Tacoma, Ford Bronco) off-road racing, motocross, circle track racing, industrial, educational, agricultural, fire and safety, and aviation.

Working from home is not an option for this position. We feel there is a distinct advantage for our business to have our Associates working in the office.

Your Success Path Involves a Very Strong Understanding of the Following Areas:

  • Powersports, Automotive or Electronics industry experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Experience with photography, videography, blogging, and customer driven engagement across platforms
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, QuickBooks, and Shopify
  • Able to manage and produce business documents, invoices, quotes/estimates, and credit memos
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with customers, staff, and management
  • Strong selling skills with an ability to retain technical product knowledge
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects with changing priorities
  • Ability to effectively navigate www.ruggedradios.com while assisting customers

Expectations:

  • Full-time 40 hour workweek
  • Rotating schedule Mon.-Fri. or Tue.-Sat.
  • Be available for telephone and in person retail sales
  • Proficiency with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Available for occasional off-site sales at trade shows or off road races

Pay Scale

  • Range $16.00-$20.00 hourly

Graphics and Layout Designer II

Rugged Radios in Arroyo Grande is seeking a creative, bright, articulate, and collaborative person to join our marketing team full time as a Graphics and Layout Designer II. This individual will help produce a wide variety of projects across multiple areas of focus including graphic design, product packaging design, email marketing campaigns, and overall web design. The ideal candidate will be diligent, and able to multitask quickly and efficiently in a fast paced environment.

This is not a remote or contract position. In order to be successful the applicant must be willing to work on-site in our Arroyo Grande, California headquarters.

Primary Skills & Job Responsibilities

  • Design web graphics for products on our three ecommerce websites
  • Graphic design experience with Klaviyo email and social media campaigns
  • Proficient with Mac OS & current design software programs such as Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, InDesign, & Dreamweaver
  • Product packaging design experience with keen artistic ability
  • Fundamental experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, & Shopify
  • Experience with trade shows, and booth layouts
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees, and external personal
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents and manuals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Be able to work efficiently, and independently with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret product instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to meet frequent project deadlines
  • Duties and requirements may shift from project-to-project

 

Pay Scale

  • Range $19.00-$25.00 hourly
